Assistant controller

Pursue your career withina management boutique where you will have the following responsabilities:

• Assisting the Finance Department with the full cycle accounting supervision and review for our Canadian and French entities:
• Oversee the preparation of monthly financial statements, validate account reconciliations, documentation, resolution of outstanding items, prepare variance analysis and explanations against budget and last year’s actual
• Monitor financial controls, accounting procedures and the annual financial audit process
• Implementing continuous improvements
• Developing, preparing weekly and monthly reports for review by Finance and Administration
• Providing support to the accounting and administration departments for various tasks and follow-ups
• Participating in the continuous improvement of the company’s internal controls, processes and tools related to accounting and billing

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting and CPA designation
• Minimum of 3 years experience, either in an accounting firm working with SMEs or in a similar role in a company, with experience in the consulting sector being an asset
• Proficiency with MS Office suite, including Excel (advanced level)
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Reliability, professionalism and ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to summarize and synthesize information
• Ability to diagnose and find solutions
• Autonomy, organizational skills and judgment
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
• Enjoys working as part of a team
• Knowledge of the Avantageaccounting system (an asset)
